(Greg with John Conlee)
Greg was born in San Francisco at the bargain basement price of $25. (His dad was in the Army.) His family moved back to Missouri when he was two. He grew up near Ava. His dad was a research physicist at the Bureau of Mines in Rolla, while his mother sold real estate in the area. They are now retired.
After graduating from Rolla High School, he attended the University of Missouri-Rolla (now Missouri S&T) before finishing up a BA in Speech and Dramatic Arts at Mizzou.
He started his radio career working part-time at KTXY in Jefferson City. He then went to work full-time for KWWR in 1986. He was promoted to Program Director in 1997.
Greg is single. He came from a small, close-knit family, and maintains that closeness with his sisters kids and as well as children of his two cousins.
Greg has a life-long affliction.. oops.. a life-long love of golf. He was all-district at Rolla High and all-conference for UMR. He says age... or lack of practice time, has helped to balloon his average from 75 to near 90 strokes. Listening to him on the air, we will let you make the judgment as to whether it is the former, or the latter.
