There will be a National Public lands Day at the Hunting and Fishing Day Celebration on Sept. 28th at the Warren G. See Spillway Rec Area at Mark Twain Lake. The event will run from 9 am to 4 pm. Activities include an archery tournament, shooting range access with certified range officers and instructors, fishing pole casting instruction and practice, hands-on exhibits and displays including turkey trapping demonstrations and a live snake educational booth. There will also be electrofishing, bird dog and turkey calling demonstrations as well as presentations by conservation groups and concessions. All parts of the event are free to the public.
